Mr. Kumar Upadhyay is Vice President, IT Operations - San Francisco. He has done his Masters in Digital Security, Golden Gate University, San Francisco, CA and Masters in Information Systems, Northeastern University, Boston, MA. He is Adjunct Faculty with Golden Gate University-Subject: Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.

Mr. Upadhyay has extensive hands-on experience in network and application security engineering, data center management, administration, troubleshooting and repair. He has designed, installed, configured and maintained security for complex routed LAN/WAN networks to include configuring firewalls, intrusion detection systems, routers etc. He has successfully handled several disaster recovery and risk management projects and managed & supervised large teams of permanent and contract personnel.

Prior to joining iStrat, he has spent several years working in the corporate sector in several IT companies  in the areas of Design, Architecture and Implementation of IT networks and systems infrastructure to include configuring firewalls, routers, switches and intrusion detection systems. He is an expert in IT Auditing, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Analysis, Policies, Procedures and Compliance. He has guided several initiatives in intrusion detection configuration, monitoring and Analysis & Disaster Recovery planning and management. He has conducted several Security awareness training and its management.
